What does it take to be a singer? In four sessions, participants will discover or perhaps re-visit techniques used in vocal music. Together, the group will study vocal production, proper breathing, pronunciation, voice types, and basic note reading. This course is perfect for those who wish to more intentionally use their voice or brush-up on technique. No experience necessary to participate, everyone can learn the tools to sing well.
Students will meet in six sessions over a 10-day period to discover techniques used in vocal music. Together they will experiment with vocal production via song assignments, simple worksheets, and video links. Topics include proper breathing, pronunciation, voice types and ranges, basic note reading, and interpreting a song for performance. The six sessions will culminate in a final virtual recital.
